Dspace7; It has the infrastructure that can directly pull broadcast metadata from index sites (Pubmed, WOS, Scopus, etc.). In our recent Kastamonu University open access project, we ensure that articles by university academics are automatically pulled from these sources every night. Thus, librarians do not need to enter data manually.
We also realized the TrDizin integration, which is not available in Dspace7, in this project. Thus, the Dspace system is constantly updated from 4 main sources.
Artificial Intelligence Supported Open Access System
THE Impact Ratings 2023, published this month and ranking all universities around the world in terms of their impact, gave half of its evaluation points to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals published by the United Nations from the contributions of universities.
In Kastamonu University Open Access System, we associated the articles with 17 SDGs using the ChatGPT artificial intelligence engine of OpenAI. We have added a qualified classification to the Open Access system by making this association, which is normally required by people to be made manually, by artificial intelligence. We are proud to implement the first example of many enrichment that can be done with Artificial Intelligence in the Kastamonu University project.
